Pinon Truckstop - great homemade pie & coffee. Pinon exit, I-25 between Colorado Springs
and Pueblo.
Pueblo Arts and Conference Center/Buell Children's Museum: -
this is a hidden gem! Home of the Francis E. King collection of Western art & usually 2 other
changing art exhibits. The Children's Museum is rated as one of the formost in the West with
delightful with hi-tech, hand's on things to do. Also housed there is the new Ryals Family
Library: 800+ art resouce books, including the
personal library of Western art collector Francis E. King and Taos printmaker Gene Kloss.
Union Avenue
Historic District - still in partial transition from the very old days... a varied &
fun mixture from pawn shops, buildings with tales to tell, wonderful little shops & a variety of
places to eat. Often in summer there are evening street dances and events. Across from the restored
Train Depot are shops that can show you the remains of tunnels from bootlegging days.
Historic Arkansas Riverwalk, a new addition
to Pueblo's numerous tourist attractions. It meanders through town between the Historic District, plaza, and convention center.
The brick sculpture on the flood wall was designed by local artists and potters, Ken and Judy Williams.
Rosemont Museum - Victorian era mansion with lunch available at the carraige house.
Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum - a memorial to the B-24 training base of W.W.II which was in operation from 1942 to 1946. It is unique in that it is the only
known museum dedicated to a specific airport.
Pueblo Zoo - located in City Park.
It's not huge, but new & a nice family evening outing.
